DS-IQ® Privacy Statement Effective as of October 2009
Introduction
DS-IQ® has created this privacy statement ("Statement") in order to demonstrate
our commitment to user and customer privacy. Privacy on the DS-IQ website (the "Site")
is of great importance to us. Because we gather important information from our users
and customers, we have established this Statement as a means to communicate our
information gathering and dissemination practices.
The only personally identifiable information that we currently collect through DS-IQ
is the information you provide us voluntarily when you use our Site. This includes,
for example, your name, company name, title, address, telephone and/or fax number,
or email address and other similar information you may provide when you send us
your feedback, questions, or requests for information, or complete site registrations
or user profiles. The information requested is completely voluntary and you may
easily decline to provide this information; however, in such case, we may not be
able to respond to your request, or receive or process your registrations or user
profiles.
We reserve the right to change this Statement at any time. We will notify you about
significant changes in the way we treat personally identifiable information by placing
a notice on this Site. We encourage you to check our Privacy Statement frequently.
Your Company may be a party to an Advertising Agreement, Master Services Agreement
(or similar written agreement pertaining to your Company's use of the Service) between
your Company and DS-IQ or between your Company and a retailer that has partnered
with DS-IQ (the “Primary Agreement.”),
If you have questions or concerns regarding this Statement, please contact DS-IQ’s
security administrator by email at security@ds-iq.com.
Collected Information
We require users who register to use the services offered on our Site (collectively,
the "Service") to give us contact information, such as their name, company name,
address, phone number, and email address. At the time you express interest in attaining
additional information, or when you register for the Service, we may also ask for
additional personal information, such as title, department name, fax number, or
additional company information. Users can opt out of providing this additional information
by not entering it or providing it when asked. Users can update or remove their
personal information at any time by logging into the Site and editing their personal
information within the application. Users can view their updated profile to confirm
their edits have been made. Removal of some information, such as email address,
may inhibit productive use of the Service.
DS-IQ uses the information that we collect to set up the Service for individuals
and their organizations. For example, users are asked to provide an email address
when registering for the Service in order to receive a username and password. We
may also use the information to contact users to further discuss user interest in
our company, the Service that we provide, and to send information regarding our
company or partners, such as promotions and events. Users may be invited to receive
an email newsletter by providing an email address. User email addresses and any
personal customer information will not be distributed or shared with third parties.
Users can opt out of being contacted by us, or receiving such information from us,
at any time by sending an email to support@ds-iq.com.
Except as we explicitly state at the time we request information, or as provided
for in the Primary Agreement, we do not disclose to third parties the information
provided.
Users of the Service will be using the Site to host data and information. DS-IQ
will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such data except as
provided in the Primary Agreement or as may be required by law. Individual records
may at times be viewed or accessed for the purpose of resolving a problem, support
issue, or suspected violation of the Primary Agreement, or as may be required by
law. Of course, users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security
of their user registration and password.
DS-IQ may also collect certain information from users and customers of the Site,
such as Internet addresses, Site usage information, and certain other information
such as the type of browser you use and operating system. This information is logged
to help diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Site in order to constantly
improve the quality of the Service and implement general Site enhancements. We may
also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical
information from our users and customers and provide such information to third parties;
however, we will not sell or otherwise disclose the personally identifying information
you provide to any third party outside of DS-IQ and its affiliated and partner companies,
or our respective agents or consultants who act for or on behalf of DS-IQ under
obligations of confidentiality. In addition, there may be some other limited circumstances
in which DS-IQ may share or transfer personally identifiable information such as
to comply with legal process such as subpoena demands or court or governmental orders,
to comply with other legal requirements and laws, to establish or exercise our legal
or property rights or defend against legal claims, or in the event of a corporate
merger, acquisition, reorganization, or similar event in which databases and similar
information are included in the transferred assets.
Cookies
When you interact with the DS-IQ Site, we strive to make that experience easy and
meaningful. When you come to our Site, our Web server may send a cookie to your
computer. Cookies are files that Web browsers place on a computer's hard drive and
are used to tell us whether users and visitors have visited the Site previously.
Standing alone, cookies do not identify you personally. They merely recognize your
browser. DS-IQ does not use cookies that store user or visitor information. The
DS-IQ application may use cookies stored in memory that track some system parameters
such as a position in a listbox and the identifier of the session object stored
in the DS-IQ server. They disappear from your computer when you close your browser
software or turn off your computer. Persistent cookies may remain on your computer
for non-supported browsers such as Firefox after you've closed your browser or turned
off your computer. They include such information as a unique identifier for your
browser. The use of Internet Explorer 5.5 and above will not deposit cookies on
your computer.
DS-IQ may use session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system
to uniquely identify you while you are logged in. This information allows DS-IQ
to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies are only used
to tie your browser to the session information stored at a DS-IQ processing facility.
These session cookies normally reside in memory and are not persistent, that is,
once the user logs off the application or closes the browser, the cookie no longer
exists.
Opt-Out Policy
DS-IQ may offer its users and customers a means to choose how we may use information
provided. If, at any time after registering for information or ordering the Service,
you change your mind about receiving information from us or about sharing your information,
send us a request specifying your new choice. Simply send your request to support@ds-iq.com.
Third-Party Cookies
We may from time to time engage third parties to track and analyze non-personally
identifiable usage and volume statistical information from visitors to our Site
to help us administer our Site and improve its quality. Such third parties may use
cookies to help track visitor behavior. Such cookies will not be used to associate
individual Site visitors with any personally identifiable information. All data
collected by such third parties on behalf of DS-IQ is used only to provide us with
information on Site usage and is not shared with any other third parties.
Links to Third-Party Sites
This privacy policy applies only to the DS-IQ Site. This Site may contain hyperlinks
to websites that are not operated by DS-IQ. These hyperlinks are provided for your
reference and convenience only and do not imply any endorsement of the activities
of these third-party websites. DS-IQ does not control these websites and is not

the privacy policy posted on any site you visit before using the site or providing
any personally identifiable data about yourself.

Security
DS-IQ uses some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available.
Our team has deployed similar techniques on some of the largest, and therefore most
exposed, websites in the world. Our Site has security measures in place to help
protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of data under our control. When
our Site is accessed using Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions
6.0 or higher, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects information using both
server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that data is safe, secure,
and available only to Authorized Registered Users in your organization. Furthermore,
DS-IQ provides each Authorized Registered User with a unique username and password
that must be entered every time that person logs on.
In addition, DS-IQ implements an advanced security method based on dynamic data
and encoded session identifications, and hosts the Site in a secure server environment
that uses at least one firewall and other advanced technologies to prevent interference
or access from outside intruders. These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access
and maintain the appropriate use and integrity of information entrusted to DS-IQ.
Governing Law
This privacy policy forms part of our Site’s Online Terms of Use and as such shall
be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington,
USA.
