Thomas Opdycke — Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Mr. Opdycke is a seasoned entrepreneur, with a passion for bringing innovative products to market and growing new businesses. He founded DS-IQ with a vision to better connect marketers and shoppers in an ever expanding nexus of digital media and traditional retail. Tom drives the culture of innovation at DS-IQ, as the company delivers breakthrough technologies for intelligently targeted messages to shoppers.
Tom is experienced in the fields of consumer packaged goods and digital platform technologies. Prior to founding DS-IQ, Mr. Opdycke was a Director at Microsoft leading teams on both the Windows Server and Windows XP businesses; and held management roles at Johnson & Johnson and Pace International. He founded, grew, and sold Just 'N Time Inc., a branded consumer goods company.
Mr. Opdycke holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a BA from Duke University.
William Wu — Executive Vice President, Engineering, and Chief Technology Officer
Prior to co-founding DS-IQ, Mr. Wu spent more than 14 years at Microsoft, where he earned numerous Achievement awards. His roles as a senior technical leader on many key Microsoft projects included Windows, LAN Manager, multimedia consumer products, and Internet Finance Server.
Mr. Wu is distinguished for having created the technical vision, development program and successful launch of Microsoft Windows Update Service from its inception in 1997. He subsequently served as the Windows Update Group Manager and managed the day-to-day operations, technology advancements and service innovations that led to a prestigious Webby Award in Technical Achievement given by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences in 2001.
Mr. Wu received a MS in Computer Science from University at Buffalo (SUNY) and a BS in Computer Science from the National Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan.
William Barbieri — Senior Vice President, Product Management & Business Development
William Barbieri heads DS-IQ's Business Development and Product Management teams. Previously, Mr. Barbieri was Vice President of Planning and Corporate Development for ADVO, a $1.5 billion targeted-media company.
Mr. Barbieri holds a MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BA from Yale University.
Paul A. Dixon, PhD — Vice President, Product Strategy
Paul has been working in the broader field of digital media monetization and optimization for more than a decade. Prior to joining DS-IQ, he spent four years at aQuantive, where he led the design and development of Atlas Publisher's "Arbiter product", a system that optimized the monetization of remnant display inventory online.
Paul holds a B.S. from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego.
Jeremy York, PhD — Principal Scientist
A member of DS-IQ since 2005, Dr. Jeremy York leads the design and development of DS-IQ's analytics capabilities.
Previously, Dr. York led Amazon.com's Personalized Content Automation team. He also built and led Amazon's Website Experimentation Software team. In these roles, he pioneered automated, scientific approaches to evaluating and managing content, resulting in millions of dollars in increased sales. He is listed as an inventor on seven Amazon.com patent applications.
Dr. York earned his MS and PhD in Statistics at the University of Washington, where his doctoral thesis was awarded the international Leonard J. Savage Award. He also holds a BS in Statistics, with highest honors, from the University of Illinois.
David DeBusk — Vice President, Media Sales
David DeBusk focuses on evangelizing and selling DS-IQ powered media solutions to advertisers and agencies.
Prior to joining DS-IQ, he led business development at Razorfish, the largest interactive agency in the U.S. and a division of aQuantive, Inc.
Mr. DeBusk is a graduate of Duke University with a BA in Public Policy Studies.
June Eva Peoples — Vice President, Human Resources
June Eva Peoples, a member of the DS-IQ team since 2003, is responsible for recruiting and cultivating a team that lives our values of innovation and integrity. Prior to joining the company, as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at RAF Technology, Ms. Peoples helped launch a new generation of automated data capture software solutions. She guided RAF to win a Best-in-Show award at the Association for Information and Imaging Management international event and a nationwide rollout with the U.S. Postal Services.
Ms. Peoples has a MBA in International Marketing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Zoology from the University of Washington.
Joe Battoe — Vice President, Corporate Development
Previously Joe was founder, President and CEO of Concept Shopping, a digital coupon and 1-to-1 targeting company. Prior to founding Concept Shopping, Mr. Battoe served 10 years as President of Information Resources, Inc. (IRI), Sales and Retailer Services Division.
He holds a Bachelor's degree from McKendree College and a MBA from the University of Southern California.
